Our PPE donation to support NHS after break-in

Posted by Jake Cottrill on

We’ve donated 1,000 CE approved PPE face masks to the Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust after essential personal protective equipment was stolen from its offices in a recent break- in.

We were shocked and saddened to see the news about the break in and we’re proud to be able to play a small part in supporting the amazing staff working to protect the most vulnerable at this difficult time.

The three-ply face masks provide a high level of protection to help prevent the spread of viruses and will be used to reduce risk to those treating coronavirus patients as NHS hospitals across the UK face personal protective equipment shortages.

NHS Charities Together’s ‘COVID-19 Urgent Appeal

Alongside the PPE donation, we’re also raising money for the NHS Charities Together’s ‘COVID-19 Urgent Appeal’ which has been set up to provide support to NHS staff, volunteers and patients impacted by the virus.

The money raised will go towards funding grants to help NHS charities support NHS staff, volunteers and patients in ways above and beyond what NHS funding can ordinarily provide, including wellbeing packs, rest and recuperation rooms and electronic tablets for isolated patients to communicate to loved ones.

We’re matching all donations

If you want to play your part, you can now donate to the COVID-19 Urgent Appeal when you purchase any product from our site. Simply select the amount you wish to donate at the checkout stage and we’ll match any donation made until the end of May.

We’ll keep you updated with the total amount raised - thank you for your support!
