Why We’re Supporting The Brain Tumour Charity

Posted by Jake Cottrill on

This December, we’re supporting a charity which is very close to our hearts.

102,000 people in the UK are currently living with a brain tumour and the survival rate is just 11%. The impact of brain tumours can be devastating with over 5,000 people losing their lives every year but, despite this, research is underfunded and treatments haven't changed in over 40 years.

The Brain Tumour Charity is a UK-based organisation which is dedicated to raising awareness, funding research, reducing diagnosis times and providing support and information to people affected by brain tumours.

Having sadly lost his father to a brain tumour, our CEO Sebastien has seen first hand just how devastating the impact can be so we wanted to help The Brain Tumour Charity with its crucial work. With this in mind, we will be raising money for the Charity throughout December.

The Charity was founded in 1996 and recently launched its ‘Defeating Brain Tumours’ strategy which aims to double the brain tumour survival rate by 2025. In order to work towards this goal, the charity funds research and campaigns for better access to clinical trials, a simpler benefits system and accurate and early diagnosis.

We’d love to raise as much as possible for this incredible charity so until the end of the month, when you purchase any product from our website, you’ll have the option to donate to the Brain Tumour Charity. Just select the amount you wish to donate at the add to checkout stage and we’ll match any donation you make.

The money raised will go directly towards helping the Charity to raise awareness, provide support and carry out its crucial research to help increase survival rates.

Thank you for your support and we’ll keep you updated with how much we raise on our social media accounts throughout the month!
